It’s been our first summer as pool owners! I never thought I would be lucky enough to build my own pool from start to finish, but Daniel and his crew did an incredible job bringing the vision to life, and the quality of their work truly shows. Our pool turned out absolutely beautiful, and I’ve received so many compliments on it. It is clear that Daniel takes pride in his work and customer service. We had a few bumps in the road and Daniel and his team were always there to address items and figure it out. They showed up on time and all of their workers were great, friendly humans. Estrella in the office is an excellent communicator, and I really appreciated her updates and attention to detail. Building a pool is a huge commitment financially, so you definitely want to ensure you go with a company you trust and will always partner with you, through the good and frustrating times. 1st Choice was an absolute pleasure to work with! We had gotten quotes from three vendors and 1st Choice was the lowest with the best design. The team also worked with us to fine tune the design, which we really appreciated up front and gave us confidence to move forward with the build. There are other vendors out there who will promise a shorter timeline, but we didn’t mind 1st Choice’s more deliberate approach, as we did not want a rushed job. In total, it took 6 months start to finish. And we think the final result is better than what they showed us in the design (see the attached pictures). At large, construction started shortly after the contract was signed and progress was steadily made till completion. The construction manager who started on our project ended up leaving 1st Choice halfway through and progress continued without a hitch. That speaks volumes to the small but mighty team at 1st Choice. Not only are they a small business, but they are a family business, and they get things done when it’s crunch time. All quibbles that we had from the build were handled in a timely and professional manner. No complaints there. Construction is never perfect and sometimes you have to do things twice, so that it’s extra nice. 1st Choice makes sure that things turn out correctly in the end. We highly recommend 1st Choice. You will not be disappointed. Also, we are very happy that we spent the extra money and went with salt and pop ups. Not every vendor will do salt. There wasn’t an extreme amount of pressure to do so but there was know how when we needed to know our options. There’s years of experience at 1st Choice and they will ultimately take care of you. We love our pool! We love our spa! We love our custom fire feature! We love our travertine deck! We love our paver walkway! We love our high-end, fully automated pool equipment! We love our landscapping with automated drippers! We have a turn-key backyard now.  One that allows us to beat the summer heat without breaking our backs. Up-keep maintenance is truly a breeze. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Daniel and the rest of his crew are stellar.. If you want things done properly and on time .. this is the way to go.. don't waste your time anywhere else. These guys are honest, personable, and know what they're doing.. You'll be glad you went with them. They even did things you wouldn't expect like fix plumbing issues, fixed part of the decking  etc . Stop searching. I had interviewed 4 different pool contractors before I decided on 1st Choice Pools.  Daniel listened to our wants and designed a beautiful pool for us.  At first we were nervous about the process, but we soon realized we were in good hands.  Our yard is small, and the crew had to maneuver around walls and structures, and they did all the work carefully and meticulously.  They worked as if they were building the pool for themselves.  Tim, the Super, also made himself available whenever I had a question  He was always helpful and available.   Also, Estrella,  the Office Manager was always gracious whenever I texted her with a question.  She was helpful and kind each time I contacted her, and it was like visiting a good friend whenever I stopped into their office. Excellent customer service - kept me informed every step of the process. My new tile is beautiful! Entire crew friendly and efficient - everything was done when they said it would be done.  I have an attached spa with a spillover into the pool. They installed a stainless steel scupper so the water doesn't touch the spa tile. The tile will be beautiful for years! We had a really great experience with 1st Choice Pools. We got a total of 4 quotes, we ultimately chose them because they had an answer for all of our questions, seemed very knowledgeable, and didn't try and rip us off. They are also a small business. For our design, we wanted a simple rectangle with a Baja step and umbrella holder, and later adjusted to add a waterfall. They were so helpful every step of the way. I was nervous about the pavers and turf in my yard getting ruined, but they did a wonderful job protecting it all as best as they could. Their timeline was also very realistic, they showed up when they said they would, and all of their contractors were friendly. I really have to credit Tim, the project manager, he set the expectation and explained what the yard would look like in the interim, the timeline, and how everything goes. I'm noticing some of the reviews are mentioning a mess or trash but it's a construction zone, so expectations are really everything here. When all was said and done, my yard was clean and put back. The office manager, Estrella, is wonderful. She was so responsive and helpful whenever I had questions. They also walked me through financing, which I had never done before, they provided information and helped to point me in the direction of who they've found to be the easiest to work with. Overall, they did an outstanding job and I am so beyond happy with our pool and the job they did, it's perfect!

After meeting with 4 different pool companies on site, we are so pleased we settled on 1st Choice Pools.  From the very beginning, the guidance, service, timely communications and commitment to their work was 2nd to none.  Seriously.    After meeting with the owner Daniel, his confidence and knowledge were undeniable.  Contract signed, began working with Devin that week, lots of patience and advice getting us to an executable CAD drawing.  Not pushy, really felt valued, Devin listened to our concerns / preferences and got us to a simple and geometric design we loved.    The build went wonderfully, from excavation to pool fill – the program management and critical path was on point.  In additional to the pool, we included two cement pours outside the coping to support a future grill and lounge area – fantastic workmanship.  This review is about 10 months late, I share that because we recently had a minor issue – and without question, 1st choice returned and made it right without hesitation.  Finally, a tip of the hat and the biggest thank you I can render to Estrella.  Estrella was the front office interface, she was always 100% positive and professional.  Her email / phone call response time was seconds not minutes and that is not an exaggeration.  Responding to my questions on schedule, material inquiries, adjustments – Estrella was the liaison that brought it all together. Our backyard was nothing but pea gravel. I had a vision for a small free-form pool. After consulting with 3 different pool companies,  we chose 1st Choice because everyone we met with were so nice and knowledgeable.  I really liked that the salesman,  Steven, showed us a slideshow that included pictures of the "messiness" that can be expected during the process of having a pool built. There were no surprises. We were told it would take 3 to 5 months,  and it was completed in 3 1/2 months. Just a couple of very minor glitches along the way, that were immediately addressed by Steve, the supervisor. And now that it's completed we, and our grandchildren,  are thoroughly enjoying this beautiful oasis in our backyard.  We had concerns about how the pump worked, and Daniel,  the owner, came out and gave us another very thorough walk thru of our pump. We are very, very pleased.
