1st Choice is excellent. From the first visit to the office to pick out selection to the very final visit, they are professional, honest, and friendly. I have already recommended them to friends. We were told the remodeling of the pool and deck would take three weeks from start to finish. They gave us a schedule and they were right on. We had a few surprises that they communicated with us quickly and all items were resolved. Our Project Manager, Romeo, was available whenever we had a question. He did regular site visits and walked us through what would be happening in the next few days. Our Office Contact, Estrella was quick to get back to us with resolutions, upfront about any delays (only one) that did not impact the finish date, and always enjoyed talking to her. Our pool was very old, it came with the house we purchased five years ago. I wish I had a before and after. We would be in that old pool and just not like. We went with the PebbleTech Midnight Blue and a gray deck surface. So happy now and in the pool everyday. It will provide so many hours, and years of enjoyment. We should have done it sooner. Also, we started with other estimates, that just did not seem right, but 1st Choice gave us a great price and timely service. Happy to give them FIVE STARS!!!!!!!!

It’s been our first summer as pool owners! I never thought I would be lucky enough to build my own pool from start to finish, but Daniel and his crew did an incredible job bringing the vision to life, and the quality of their work truly shows.

Our pool turned out absolutely beautiful, and I’ve received so many compliments on it. It is clear that Daniel takes pride in his work and customer service. We had a few bumps in the road and Daniel and his team were always there to address items and figure it out. They showed up on time and all of their workers were great, friendly humans. Estrella in the office is an excellent communicator, and I really appreciated her updates and attention to detail.

Building a pool is a huge commitment financially, so you definitely want to ensure you go with a company you trust and will always partner with you, through the good and frustrating times.

Summer in Tucson has been so much more enjoyable with our new pool! Thank you again 1st Choice!

1st Choice was an absolute pleasure to work with!

We had gotten quotes from three vendors and 1st Choice was the lowest with the best design. The team also worked with us to fine tune the design, which we really appreciated up front and gave us confidence to move forward with the build.

There are other vendors out there who will promise a shorter timeline, but we didn’t mind 1st Choice’s more deliberate approach, as we did not want a rushed job. In total, it took 6 months start to finish. And we think the final result is better than what they showed us in the design (see the attached pictures).

At large, construction started shortly after the contract was signed and progress was steadily made till completion. The construction manager who started on our project ended up leaving 1st Choice halfway through and progress continued without a hitch. That speaks volumes to the small but mighty team at 1st Choice. Not only are they a small business, but they are a family business, and they get things done when it’s crunch time.

All quibbles that we had from the build were handled in a timely and professional manner. No complaints there. Construction is never perfect and sometimes you have to do things twice, so that it’s extra nice. 1st Choice makes sure that things turn out correctly in the end.

We highly recommend 1st Choice. You will not be disappointed. Also, we are very happy that we spent the extra money and went with salt and pop ups. Not every vendor will do salt. There wasn’t an extreme amount of pressure to do so but there was know how when we needed to know our options. There’s years of experience at 1st Choice and they will ultimately take care of you.

We love our pool! We love our spa! We love our custom fire feature! We love our travertine deck! We love our paver walkway! We love our high-end, fully automated pool equipment! We love our landscapping with automated drippers!

We have a turn-key backyard now. One that allows us to beat the summer heat without breaking our backs. Up-keep maintenance is truly a breeze.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Daniel and the rest of his crew are stellar.. If you want things done properly and on time .. this is the way to go.. don't waste your time anywhere else. These guys are honest, personable, and know what they're doing.. You'll be glad you went with them.
They even did things you wouldn't expect like fix plumbing issues, fixed part of the decking etc . I had my pool and hot-tub resurfaced and it looks amazing.

Stop searching. I had interviewed 4 different pool contractors before I decided on 1st Choice Pools. Daniel listened to our wants and designed a beautiful pool for us. At first we were nervous about the process, but we soon realized we were in good hands. Our yard is small, and the crew had to maneuver around walls and structures, and they did all the work carefully and meticulously. They worked as if they were building the pool for themselves. Tim, the Super, also made himself available whenever I had a question He was always helpful and available. Also, Estrella, the Office Manager was always gracious whenever I texted her with a question. She was helpful and kind each time I contacted her, and it was like visiting a good friend whenever I stopped into their office. Thank you everyone for a wonderful experience and for my beautiful new pool. 1st Choice Pools in Tucson is the best choice.

Excellent customer service - kept me informed every step of the process. My new tile is beautiful! Entire crew friendly and efficient - everything was done when they said it would be done. I have an attached spa with a spillover into the pool. They installed a stainless steel scupper so the water doesn't touch the spa tile. The tile will be beautiful for years! When we decided to build a pool in Oro Valley, we were prepared for the usual construction headaches—but 1st Choice Pools turned our expectations upside down in the best possible way. From the moment I signed the contract, I was bracing for things to get difficult, but instead, things only got better.
Their professionalism is second to NONE. The quality of the work they delivered is truly exceptional. Every step of the process was handled with care, precision, and an attention to detail that went far beyond what I expected.
The entire team—both their in-house crew and subcontractors—was incredible. They were always on time, respectful, kind, and hardworking. Each member of the team took obvious pride in their work, and it shows in the final product. Our pool is stunning, and it’s clear that every element of its design and construction was executed with excellence.
At one point I was speaking with a team member asking questions about a potential challenge and his response sums up our experience. He said, “for every problem there is a solution’. Our project was not without any challenges which is to be expected with such a large project but this team always came prepared to solve those challenges and never compromised quality. They are kind, transparent and truly on their game.
Daniel, the owner, is not only knowledgeable but hands on and was on site numerous times to just check in, see how we were doing and make sure we had an opportunity to ask questions.
Estrella, the office coordinator is so much more than that! She truly is the Master of Ceremonies and keeps everyone moving in the right direction. Her communication skills are second to none. I consider myself a damn good project manager and Estrella is one of the few people I have met who can give me a run for my money.
Finally, I have to mention Stephen, design and engineer extraordinaire. Stephen is kind, patient, and helped us to bring our vision to life. His talents are evident from the first meeting to the last and he truly cares about quality. Stephen is a good man, warm, funny and perhaps one of the most intelligent people we have ever met. We are so grateful for having had the opportunity to get to know him and the entire team! We thought we loved our home before this project started- now we find ourselves in awe of what this place has become- truly our slice of heaven!
If you’re considering building a pool, I cannot recommend 1st Choice Pools highly enough. They exceeded every expectation I had and delivered an outstanding result that my family and I will enjoy for years to come. Thank you, 1st Choice Pools, for making this such an amazing experience!

1st Choice did a beautiful job on my backyard. My pool is fairly small - just 7,000 gallons (not heated). I obtained several quotes and they were reasonable in my opinion. When I signed the contract, I was told 4-6 months. They finished in 4 months. They did not provide or plant the landscaping however they did a beautiful job on the retaining wall. All of the workers involved in the project were professional and responsive. My backyard is an oasis and I love it! I highly recommend them!

1st Choice Pools recently completed a beautiful pool at our home that captured exactly what we, Devin and Daniel from 1st Choice, envisioned. From the first visit by Devin to view our home and offer his ideas until Daniel demonstrating it's operation, we felt they exceeded our expectations. Estrella, who was our contact at 1st Choice and she coordinated the entire project. All of our questions and concerns were answered promptly. She was a joy to work with. All construction projects have delays but we were alerted to potential hiccups and what was being done to correct them at every step.

I had a hot tub and pool put in this year by First Choice Pool. I've been very pleased with their attention to detail and workmanship. In the design stage Devon was so accommodating and attentive.
