When we decided to build a pool in Oro Valley, we were prepared for the usual construction headaches—but 1st Choice Pools turned our expectations upside down in the best possible way. From the moment I signed the contract, I was bracing for things to get difficult, but instead, things only got better. Their professionalism is second to NONE. The quality of the work they delivered is truly exceptional. Every step of the process was handled with care, precision, and an attention to detail that went far beyond what I expected. The entire team—both their in-house crew and subcontractors—was incredible. They were always on time, respectful, kind, and hardworking. Each member of the team took obvious pride in their work, and it shows in the final product. Our pool is stunning, and it’s clear that every element of its design and construction was executed with excellence. At one point I was speaking with a team member asking questions about a potential challenge and his response sums up our experience. He said, “for every problem there is a solution’. Our project was not without any challenges which is to be expected with such a large project but this team always came prepared to solve those challenges and never compromised quality. They are kind, transparent and truly on their game. Daniel, the owner, is not only knowledgeable but hands on and was on site numerous times to just check in, see how we were doing and make sure we had an opportunity to ask questions. Estrella, the office coordinator is so much more than that! She truly is the Master of Ceremonies and keeps everyone moving in the right direction. Her communication skills are second to none. I consider myself a damn good project manager and Estrella is one of the few people I have met who can give me a run for my money. Finally, I have to mention Stephen, design and engineer extraordinaire. Stephen is kind, patient, and helped us to bring our vision to life. His talents are evident from the first meeting to the last and he truly cares about quality. Stephen is a good man, warm, funny and perhaps one of the most intelligent people we have ever met. We are so grateful for having had the opportunity to get to know him and the entire team! We thought we loved our home before this project started- now we find ourselves in awe of what this place has become- truly our slice of heaven! If you’re considering building a pool, I cannot recommend 1st Choice Pools highly enough. They exceeded every expectation I had and delivered an outstanding result that my family and I will enjoy for years to come. My pool is fairly small - just 7,000 gallons (not heated). I obtained several quotes and they were reasonable in my opinion. When I signed the contract, I was told 4-6 months. They finished in 4 months. They did not provide or plant the landscaping however they did a beautiful job on the retaining wall. All of the workers involved in the project were professional and responsive. My backyard is an oasis and I love it! From the first visit by Devin to view our home and offer his ideas until Daniel demonstrating it's operation, we felt they exceeded our expectations. Estrella, who was our contact at 1st Choice and she coordinated the entire project. All of our questions and concerns were answered promptly. She was a joy to work with. All construction projects have delays but we were alerted to potential hiccups and what was being done to correct them at every step. Like all major projects, there were a few glitches along the way. HOWEVER, this company distinguished itself by living-up to their commitment to address and resolve any concerns we had IMMEDIATELY. When we noticed that our fresh water inlet wasn't functioning properly, their crew showed up the next day and dug it all up and installed a new system without hesitation or complaint.
